Ron Smeets Dressage Clinic ~ October 1 - 4

Ron Smeets is a classically trained international rider and clinician from Holland.  Ron focuses on the horse and rider, riding forward into the bridle for a soft supple hand creating a correct connection to develop the topline rather then a forced collection.  Ron enjoys working with students of all levels from Training – Grand Prix.  Dressage and Eventing enthusiast will surely benefit from his expertise.

• International Grand Prix Competitor from Holland

• Trained with Sjef Janssen for 19 years (One of the most successful trainer’s in the world, coach and husband of Anky van Grunsven). Ron does not teach over flex.

• Successfully trained 23 horses to Grand Prix. Including one that was sold to Japan.

• Two time champion of Holland.

• Some horses that he has sold to this area of the US were Lestera, competed through GP levels with Gigi Nutter, Kelly O’shea Duncan and Adrian Rogers. Ivo with Denise Cole, Joey, with Denise Cole and Scott Peterson to name a few.
